Appliances Terms and Conditions

APPLIANCE COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The promoter of this competition is Massbuild \(Pty\) Ltd trading as Builders Express, Builders Superstore, Builders Trade Depot and Builders Warehouse \(registration number: 2004/035206/07\) with its registered address at 16 Peltier Drive, Sunninghill, 2157 \(hereinafter referred to as “Builders”\).
2. All persons entering this Builders Appliance competition \(hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”\) agree to be bound by these competition terms and conditions.
3. All entrants to the Competition are doing so entirely at their own risk.
4. This competition is valid from 22 January 2020 to 31 January 2020. Builders shall have the right to end this competition at any time hereafter, at its own election.
5. To enter the Competition, the entrant must tweet us to our handle @BuildersSA which appliances have them worried and need to be replaced this January and stand a chance to win an appliance combo giveaway consisting of a Elba Gas stove, Whirlpool washing machine and Grundig air conditioner. This relates to any appliances, regardless of how old the appliance is and/or where the appliance was purchased from and/or any brand of the appliance etc. There will only be one winner.
6. A random draw will take place on the 1st week of February. In the event that Builders is unsuccessful in contacting the winner, the next potential winner selected shall be contacted.
7. There are no entry fees to participate in the Competition.
8. The entrant must be in possession of a valid South African identity document and must be over the age of 18 \(eighteen\) years. The entrant cannot be a juristic entity and must be an individual.
9. The Competition is not open to employees, family members of employees, agents and/or representatives of Builders.
10. The winner’s prize is not transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
11. The winner will be notified telephonically or via email by no later than 1 \(one\) week after each monthly draw. Builders may, in its sole discretion, extend this date for any reason whatsoever.
12. Builders shall utilise the services of an independent auditing firm in order to audit the draw and the Competition. By entering the Competition, the entrant hereby consents to Builders supplying the personal information to the independent auditing firm, for the purpose of auditing this Competition.
13. The entrant hereby consents to Builders supplying the entrants personal information and contact details to any third party service provider to assist with the administration of the Competition as well as to contact the entrant for providing the results of the Competition and to arrange delivery to the winners of the prizes \(if need be\).
14. The winner shall be disqualified from the Competition in the event that any of his/her accounts with Builders are in arrears at the time of the draw. A new winner will be drawn by the independent auditing firm.
15. In the event of a dispute, the decision of Builders is final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
16. The entrant hereby consents to Builders using and processing any personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 for processing of the entrants entry as stated herein as well as for any marketing and promotions. The entrant may contact Builders contact Centre on 0860 284 533 or info@builders.co.za in order to have their personal information verified, amended or removed from the Builders database.
17. By entering the Competition, the entrant acknowledges that he/she is entering a promotional competition for the purposes of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 \(hereinafter referred to as “CPA”\) and the promotional competition will be conducted in accordance with the CPA. The winner of the Competition undertakes to do all things necessary to enable the Builders to comply with its obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing any personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the prize \(including providing proof of address and identity number\) and signing receipt of the prize upon its delivery.
18. The winners may be requested to provide their names for publicity purposes. The name of the winners and their pictures may be re-posted on Builders various Social Media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as on www.builders.co.za. The winners hereby consent to their name and pictures being posted on Builders various Social Media sites and it is the responsibility of the winners to advise Builders otherwise in writing when advised of their win.
19. Builders reserve the right to cancel the Competition, to change the number or type of prizes at any time during the Competition, in the event that there are any unforeseen circumstances or causes outside of the reasonable control of Builders.
20. By participating in the Competition, the prize winner agrees to indemnify Builders, and release and hold Builders harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Competition or resulting from acceptance and participation in the Competition including, but not limited to, any personal injuries, death, damage to property and claims based on defamation or invasion of privacy.
